The Ann Court Regeneration is Camerons’ largest individual venture in the company’s 63 year history. The development comprises of five buildings varying between four and five storeys containing 165 affordable housing units, in addition to a 2 storey car park. All five blocks will incorporate a reinforced concrete frame structure and an innovative pre-cast plank system, never before used on the Island, to achieve maximum time and economic benefits. Camerons have engaged CNR, a specialist in-situ concrete contractor based in France, to undertake the major concrete works required for this development. We previously worked with CNR on both building 4 & 5 at the International Finance Centre.
The project is on programme with the piling works now being completed in good time, efforts are now being focused on bulk excavation; pile caps; drainage and blinding. Two tower cranes have now been erected and the site team expects the first sections of lower basement slabs to be poured in the next couple of weeks. Site offices and welfare are fully established, with Camerons having utilised a row of houses opposite the site as an ideal site office location, prior to them being demolished to create a free-to-access landscaped area that will pedestrianise the adjoining street and link to the main build.
The completion date for the project is January 2022.
