Local property company, Trump Holdings Limited announces the commencement of construction at its site at the corner of Hilgrove Street and Halkett Street, St Helier. The new three-story flagship building will be made up of approximately 3,131 square feet of ground floor retail shop, 2,975 square feet of first floor retail/storage accommodation, 2,647 square feet of second floor storage space and a one bedroom staff flat. The upper floors are to be served by an eight person lift and staircase accessed from the ground floor area.
Jersey-based construction company, Camerons started the preliminary works in January and aim to complete the development during February, 2017.
The prominent corner building has been designed by architects TSAssociates Limited to complement the neighbouring architecture and replaces the old “Video Centre” store which had separate offices above together with three adjacent derelict Victorian properties. The demolition of these properties has allowed Trump Holdings Limited to provide a large user-friendly and institutionally built retail store which will have large feature display windows on both Halkett Street and Hilgrove Street.
On completion, the development will appeal to a retailer looking for much larger floor space than is generally available in the centre of St Helier.
Trump Holdings Limited’s parent company, Alphameric Limited intends to hold the completed investment as part of its prime property portfolio in St Helier. BNP Paribas Real Estate Limited has been appointed to act as sole letting agent for the property and is actively pursuing pre-letting opportunities.
