The new wing at Bel Royal School was officially opened by the Lieutenant-Governor on Friday 4th November.
Camerons was the main contractor for the build and Staff and pupils have been enjoying the new facilities. The extension includes five new classrooms, each equipped with interactive TV screens, two physiotherapy rooms and plenty of storage space for specialist equipment.
A time capsule was also built into one of the walls which included photographs of the original school building built in 1975, pictures of the new build and some of the pupils’ work.
